Releasing first public version of Final Defenders
Hey everyone! We're happy to announce the first public release of our latest project, Final Defenders. A remake of one of the first games I ever conceived, way back in 1999, Final Defenders is currently in an early alpha state where the gameplay is mostly present, but much of the content is still being worked on. Now might not be the best time for couch multiplayer games, but it is designed to be fun with anything from 1 to 4 players.
The build has just been updated with a few improvements from the initial upload last week. Enemies no longer deafen you with a million shots after a defeat in battle, there is an experimental alternate music track to the battle, the enemy armies have a new colour scheme and the "AWSUM" sounds mode on the options now changes all the sound effects to complete silliness (not just some). Sound in general has had a bit of an overhaul to make it more consistent.
Please let us know your thoughts on balance, which turrets you found fun, ideas you may have, or anything else. Enjoy!
